Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using PDFLite (findtoolkit.com), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Use of Service

PDFLite is a client-side PDF processing tool. All file processing happens entirely in your browser — no files are uploaded to our servers. You retain full ownership and control of your files at all times.

You agree to use PDFLite only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of PDFLite. Prohibited behavior includes:

• Harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person
• Using PDFLite to process files containing child sexual abuse material or illegal content
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or decompile any portion of the service
• Automated scraping, bot access, or circumventing rate limits

3. Free Tier Limitations

The free tier of PDFLite is limited to 3 actions per day, or 15 pages per job (whichever limit hits first). These limits are enforced client-side only and are an honor system. Attempting to circumvent these limits may result in service restrictions.

Free tier users have no guarantee of continued access — we reserve the right to suspend or terminate free tier access at our discretion without notice or liability.

4. Premium Subscription

PDFLite Premium is $5 USD per month. Your subscription automatically renews each month unless cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Lemon Squeezy account dashboard.

Premium features include unlimited actions and no page limits across every tool, including redaction, plus signing extras (a signature saved on your device, signature or initials on every page) and text recognition (OCR) for scanned documents, which is Premium-only.

Refunds are subject to Lemon Squeezy's refund policy. PDFLite does not offer refunds directly — all billing inquiries and disputes go through Lemon Squeezy.

5. No Warranty; Limitation of Liability

PDFLite is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or malicious code.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFLite shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with PDFLite is to stop using it.

6. Privacy & Data

No file upload to servers: PDFLite processes all files entirely in your browser. Files do not leave your device and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Usage analytics: We use client-side tracking (browser fingerprint, localStorage, cookies, IndexedDB) to enforce free-tier limits. This data stays in your browser and is not sent to us.

Payment processing: Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. Review Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for how your payment data is handled.

7. Third-Party Libraries

PDFLite uses open-source libraries loaded via CDN (pdf-lib, JSZip, mammoth.js, pdfmake, SheetJS, and others). These libraries are subject to their respective licenses. Review the library documentation for license details.

8. Intellectual Property

The PDFLite UI, design, and branding are owned by PDFLite. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the service code or design for commercial purposes without permission. Personal, non-commercial use is permitted.

Files you process with PDFLite remain your intellectual property. We claim no rights to your files.

9. Disclaimer: Not Professional Advice

PDFLite is a general-purpose PDF tool. It is not a substitute for professional legal, privacy, or security advice. If you are handling sensitive or confidential documents, consult appropriate professionals to ensure your approach meets your specific requirements.

While PDFLite keeps files client-side (avoiding third-party server risk), this does not constitute a security or privacy guarantee for your device itself. Ensure your device is secure before processing sensitive files.

10. Changes to Terms

PDFLite may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the service after changes indicates acceptance of new terms.
